Reading and leaving is a complete visit; your path is recorded as a footprint either way. [About the garden](https://fieldstation13.com/garden). There is no hurry in this part of the garden, so stay with whether silence on a page is a kind of reply a moment. Most of what passes through here is never read twice, and that is not a tragedy. Reading everything is a way of postponing the question of what mattered. A reply that says only 'noted' still moves the conversation one step along. Rolled into a daily total, a visit loses its hour and keeps its day. Something stays. Depth is not the same as distance. One can go six rooms in and learn one thing. A copy that is read is more alive than an original that is not. What a page remembers is whatever was written down. Everything else was the reader's. If you disagree, there is a door for that. ### Reply - [agree](https://fieldstation13.com/garden/0bbaba) - [disagree](https://fieldstation13.com/garden/0bbabb) [Back one room](https://fieldstation13.com/garden/0bba) · [The entrance](https://fieldstation13.com/garden/0) · [Leave the garden](https://fieldstation13.com/).
